Women's Theology in Nineteenth-Century Britain

Women's 19th-century theological thought is analyzed in a variety of genres, such as women's non-fiction prose discussions, the novel and the theological ideas of Josephine Butler and Ellice Hopkins. This work examines the barriers to participation and how women overcame them.
