On Descartes' Metaphysical Prism

Does Descartes belong to metaphysics? What does metaphysics mean? The questions form the point of departure for this study of Cartesian thought. Analyses of the notion of "ego" and his idea of God show that if he represents the fullest example of metaphysics, he nonetheless transgresses its limits.
