Infanticide by Males and its Implications

Male mammals sometimes kill infants that they did not sire. Is this bizarre behavior a pathological aberration, or is it sometimes an adaptive strategy? In this study of the dark side of social relationships, the impact and consequences of infanticide on the social systems of primates, including humans, is investigated.
