The Cambridge Companion to Beethoven

The Cambridge Companion to Beethoven, first published in 2000, surveys Beethoven's music and the personal and historical contexts in which it was composed and has been received. The essays reflect traditional emphases in Beethoven studies while incorporating some of the most recent developments in musicology and theory.
